Where Do ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Stars Live? See Where They’re Headed in Light of Cast Shake-Up

“MomTok”—the corner of the internet dedicated to following the lives of the women now known as the cast of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives”—has survived a lot.

But the future of the group of Utah-based influencers-turned-TV-personalities has never been more uncertain, with cast departures, new endeavors, and a spinoff series in the mix.

Speculation around the series has only grown with the premiere of Season 5.

Hulu released just five new episodes of the show on Sept. 11, unexpectedly halting production and ending the latest installment on a “To be continued…” cliff-hanger in light of a turbulent dynamic among the women.

The season was supposed to include 10 episodes, but, according to a March 19 Instagram Story from cast member Mikayla Matthews, the group came together and “agreed” to stop production.

“We didn’t feel comfortable filming with everything that was happening,” Matthews wrote, alluding to a domestic assault investigation involving cast member Taylor Frankie Paul and her former partner, Dakota Mortensen.

Charges against Paul were dropped in April, and on Aug. 6, the streaming platform announced a 20-episode renewal of the show, confirming its return for Seasons 6 and 7. Each season will feature 10 episodes, and so far, new seasons have been released every six months since the September 2024 series premiere.

Taylor Frankie Paul

ABC and Disney confirmed Paul’s Season 6 return, as verified by Page Six.

The report included word from an insider who added Paul “has been working on herself” and “dealing with personal issues” as of late, adding the network has “been supportive throughout this process.”

The news follows the network’s March 2026 decision to cancel Paul’s season of “The Bachelorette,” in which the 32-year-old mom of three was set to search for a new partner as the lead of the popular dating show.

An ABC spokesperson confirmed the season—which was due to premiere just days after the announcement—was canceled in light of the TMZ release of footage of an altercation between Paul and Mortensen.

In pursuit of a “fresh start” post-controversy, Paul became a solo homeowner for the first time in May 2026, purchasing a $1 million Utah home.

She shared the news in an Instagram post, thanking her mother, real estate agent Liann May, for her help throughout the process.

“Officially a solo home owner and thank you to the best real estate agent in Utah, Liann May,” she wrote. “I see the sadness through the excitement but I am trying.”

Real estate continues to be a priority for Paul, who shared she is now focusing on “renovations and rentals.”

In a Sept. 15 Instagram post, Paul shared a video showing the signing of paperwork to close on her “first rental property.”

“I’m just excited to finally start something I’ve always wanted to do,” she wrote in the caption, adding that her mother was once again her real estate agent for this transaction, and that her father is “the best general contractor.”

In response to a comment from a follower, Paul also noted she’d “be chill” as a landlord.

Mikayla Matthews

Matthews, a 26-year-old mom of four, is the latest to depart the cast.

She announced her departure from the show in a Sept. 15 Instagram post.

“I’m not comfortable being a part of something that continues to platform behavior I don’t agree with, especially given my own experience growing up in a home with multiple forms of abuse,” she wrote.

“There’s no amount of money worth going against my morals or changing the stance I’ve had since I first saw and heard the things that made me feel this strongly,” she continued. “For me personally, continuing to directly profit from this behavior feels wrong and unethical. It feels like a disservice to the children, everyone’s healing, and the millions of people watching.”

Matthews went on to explain her gratitude for the experience, vouching to continue to share her story.

Hours after her initial announcement, Matthews shared more details in an Instagram Story, addressing speculation regarding her decision and confirming that she did begin filming Season 6.

“The only reason I’m leaving the show is because I was told a certain person was coming back,” she clarified. She had agreed to sign on for the next season only “if that certain someone” was not involved.

“No ultimatums, I’m not in control of who comes and who leaves,” she continued.

It is likely fans may see Matthews included in Season 6 in some capacity, as she did begin filming and still has some “contractual obligations and interviews” to complete before entirely washing her hands of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.”

No longer tied to the show, it’s unclear where Matthews will land next. In an Aug. 10 post, the influencer admitted her “home situation is always up in the air” and shared that she’s “getting settled in a new temporary place.”

In an Aug. 27 update, she added she’s been “in and out of a hotel for the last four months.”

Matthews has previously opened up about her chronic inflammatory response syndrome, CIRS, which she believes was caused by “prolonged exposure to toxins,” and that mold illness “has ruined just everything” in her body, affecting her “nerves, skin, hair, brain, gut, liver, hormones, etc.”

In the hopes of easing the symptoms associated with CIRS, Matthews has spent much of 2026 traveling, temporarily relocating to Hawaii in May before heading to Florida in June in pursuit of a humid climate.

In an Instagram Story, she explained that Utah’s “super dry climate” is “good for mold,” adding that her “house had mold” before undergoing a remediation process.

“The heavy metals in the air from Great Salt Lake drying up add to my toxic load everyday, so I can’t detox everything out,” she wrote.

Whitney Leavitt

In a May 3 video obtained by TMZ, the 33-year-old mom of three announced her departure from “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.”

Leavitt’s career has changed drastically since joining the series, with a stint on “Dancing With the Stars” and a role in the Broadway production of “Chicago” launching her to a new level of fame.

Weeks after the announcement, it was reported that the star and her husband, Connor Leavitt, sold the five-bedroom, four-bathroom home they purchased in April 2025. While the couple snapped up the Utah abode for $915,000, the final sale price was undisclosed.

Whitney is set to return to New York City for another Broadway role, with a six-week limited engagement in “Just in Time,” planned for Dec. 1, 2026, to Jan. 10, 2027.

Although she’s spending plenty of time on the East Coast, the Leavitt family maintains a Utah base, and on June 26, she announced the family had secured their “dream home.”

“These nomads are finally setting some roots,” she captioned the announcement.

Jennifer Affleck

Another “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star to compete for the iconic “Dancing With the Stars” Mirror Ball Trophy, Jennifer Affleck appears to be on the move, too.

The 27-year-old is currently expecting her fourth child with husband Zac Affleck and recently moved to California full time, joining the Utah reality show’s West Coast spinoff, “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County.”

The series is set to include a new slate of local influencers, including Bobbi Althoff, Aspyn Ovard, and Avery Woods.

Mayci Neeley

An original member of the show, 31-year-old mom-of-three Mayci Neeley is the latest to share news of a move.

In a Sept. 15 TikTok, she revealed, “We are moving! Can’t wait for you to see the new place.” The video depicts Neeley and her husband, Jacob Neeley, celebrating the news alongside a hallway filled with moving boxes.

The news immediately sparked comments from fans who pointed out all of the work the Neeleys had done to renovate the home they’ve lived in for more than four years, but Mayci confirmed they’ll hold on to that property.

“We aren’t selling it,” she confirmed in an Instagram comment. “It will be a rental, so either way it was worth it.”

The influencer has yet to confirm where her family is headed next, but her future on the show remains uncertain.

Following the news of Matthews’ departure, Mayci hinted at her future in a TikTok comment: “I am finishing this current season we are filming and then not sure after that!”

Layla Taylor

Layla Taylor, a 25-year-old mom to two, shared a similar sentiment.

In response to a fan who asked if she’d be returning to the series given Matthews’ exit, Taylor captioned a Sept. 14 Instagram Story, “I just love her so much. It’s such an impossible situation for everyone involved, but I’m finishing out season 6 and then tbd.”

Jessi Draper

Jessi Draper, 34, is in the midst of starting over.

In March 2026, shortly after putting their sprawling Utah home on the market, Draper and Jordan Ngatikaura filed for divorce after more than five years of marriage. The couple share two children, and Draper was a stepmom to Ngatikaura’s daughter from a previous relationship.

The hair extension entrepreneur shared a peek at her “new beginnings” in an April Instagram Story in which she posted some photos of her “new home.” She thanked family and friends for helping her “unpack and organize” as she settled into the space.

Although she did not confirm the location of her new home, she appears to be continuing life in Utah, and her business, JZ Styles Salon, is still located in Pleasant Grove, UT.

Draper hinted at her future on the show during a Sept. 15 appearance on the “Just Trish” podcast.

“I don’t know because I love it so much and it’s not just a show. It’s my real friend group, right? It’s our real lives, and so it’s weird to be, like, ‘Well, I’d leave,’ ‘cause those are my friends,” she said.

While Draper said she’s unsure just how long she’ll stay, she’s planning to take it in stride.

“We’ll see how hard it gets,” she said.

Miranda McWhorter

Miranda McWhorter, 28, joined the cast in Season 2 after her split from her ex-husband, Chase McWhorter, with whom she shares two children.

Miranda has yet to weigh in on the shake-ups the show is facing, but is presumed to return for the next season, as she’s been seen on a cast trip with her co-stars in Italy.

Having recently shared a handful of videos with her MomTok friends in Utah, she doesn't apear to have relocated just yet.
