The Colony Golf and Bay Club, Bonita Springs

The Colony occupies roughly 809 acres inside the gates of Pelican Landing, along Estero Bay on the Bonita Springs and Estero line, with housing that runs from high rise condominiums with Gulf views through villas and estate homes. Two things about it confuse nearly every first time visitor. The Bay Club, the residents-only dining room on the bay, comes with owning here rather than with a golf membership. Golf is the separate decision, through a private equity club with a capped membership, which is why a resale carrying a transferable membership prices differently from an identical residence without one. Worth knowing which situation a listing is in before you fall in love with the floor plan.
