Six busted in $6M Miami condo association fraud scheme

Six people were arrested in connection to a $5.8 million HOA fraud scheme in Miami-Dade County this week after a two-year investigation.  The investigation, called “Operation Sundown” by the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Organized Crime Bureau, found the group deceived association board members and stole millions from five condominium properties across the county, WPLG reported.  Those properties include the Mira Villa Condo, Los Suenos Condo, Samurai Lake East Condo, Lago Grande and Country Lake Manors, according to authorities.
