Massive Live Local project proposed for Fort Lauderdale amid housing crunch
A three-tower Live Local Act project is proposed to take the place of a former Winn-Dixie in Fort Lauderdale. An entity linked to property owner John Thompson Loos III and Amy Loos Mergler filed an application for a residential project with 306 workforce housing units on a 3.1-acre site at 1625 and 1645 Cordova Road, the South Florida Business Journal reported. Fort Lauderdale-based Dorsky + Yue International submitted the site plan, which was ordered by developer Beach Causeway LLC, managed by Richard Goldenberg, the outlet said.
