Jorge Ramos wins $50M bankruptcy auction bid for Blue Lagoon property
Developer Jorge Ramos won a bankruptcy auction for a vacant development site in the Blue Lagoon area near Miami International Airport with a $50 million bid. The 7-acre assemblage at 4865, 4875 and 4885 Northwest 7th Street became available after its owners, entities connected to developer Caroline Weiss of Weiss Group Companies, last year filed for Chapter 11 reorganization to stop a foreclosure judgment, the South Florida Business Journal reported.
