Dutch hospitality firm dives into South Beach, dropping $50M-plus on first US hotel investment
Corendon Hotels & Resorts has entered the U.S. market with the acquisition and rebranding of a pair of Art Deco hotels on Miami Beach’s Collins Avenue. The Dutch hospitality company paid over $50 million in one transaction for Aloha Friday’s at 944 Collins Avenue and the Beach Plaza Hotel at 1401 Collins Avenue. Berkadia’s Jennifer Jin represented the seller, according to a source familiar with the deal. Foley & Lardner LLP provided legal representation to Corendon Hotels & Resorts.
