Construction paused on Citadel’s $2.5B HQ as Feds investigate rig collapse 

Authorities paused the construction of Ken Griffin’s $2.5 billion Citadel headquarters site on Brickell Bay Drive to investigate the drill rig collapse last week, the Wall Street Journal reported.  The rig fell on the road during Monday morning traffic on Sept. 14, striking three vehicles and sending four to the hospital with minor injuries. All construction and operations have ceased at the development site, at 1201 Brickell Bay Drive, pending the completion and acceptance of an investigation and report, Sergio Ascunce, a Miami-Dade County building official, told the newspaper.
