Miami-Dade approves replacing four public housing sites with over 1K affordable units
More than 1,000 affordable units are planned across Miami-Dade County, as part of a county program to redevelop its aging public housing complexes. Miami Beach-based Redwood Dev Co and Miami-based Integra each scored deals to redevelop public housing with a combined 1,049 new units, and will lease the sites from the county. Commissioners voted in favor of the items at their meeting on Wednesday. Redwood, led by David Burstyn and Brian Sidman, plans the majority of units in three projects.
