Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez Install Spaceship in the Backyard of Their $165 Million Beverly Hills Mansion

Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos and wife Lauren Sanchez have added an out-of-this-world element to their $165 million Beverly Hills mansion: a UFO-shaped structure that is believed to serve as a custom sauna.

Photos obtained by the New York Post reveal the unique addition to the grounds of the sprawling abode, which was once owned by media mogul David Geffen and has been undergoing significant renovations since the businessman bought it in 2020.

The images show a silver structure shaped like the command module of a NASA rocket, which reports suggest is home to a sauna, sitting in the backyard of the 10-acre property.

Bezos and Sanchez have placed the sauna, which is understood to have been designed by Timothy Oulton Studio, near the cactus garden.

Designer Timothy Oulton's website boasts a number of spaceship-shaped creations, including one named "Apollo" that is "built to the same scale as NASA's Apollo 11 space capsule" and houses an intimate seating area that his website notes can be used as a "VIP seating zone" or a work space.

The product description notes that Apollo can be adapted for outdoor use—however no price is given for the item, which is "made to order."

While neither Bezos, 61, nor his 55-year-old spouse have commented on the addition to their dwelling, it's likely that the space-themed amenity is a nod to the billionaire's space project, Blue Origin, which his wife traveled on—alongside Katy Perry and Gayle King—in April 2025.

However, the spaceship sauna is far from the most impressive aspect of the incredible estate.

The property comes complete with three stories and was designed by American architect Roland Coate.

The dwelling recently served as the location for reality TV mogul Kris Jenner's 70th birthday party, which saw the likes of OprahPrince Harry and Meghan MarkleMark Zuckerberg, and Mariah Carey in attendance.

While Kris and her guests—including many members of her family—appeared to have had the time of their lives at the event, neighbors of Bezos were reportedly less than thrilled with the level of noise that could be heard emanating from the Amazon founder's extraordinarily lavish abode.

TMZ reported that police officers were seen arriving at the venue in patrol cars—with sources telling the outlet that the noise was largely blamed on a live performance by Bruno Mars, who sent the guests "absolutely nuts" with his on-stage appearance.

The outlet stated that attending officers spoke with security guards on site and issued a warning about the noise levels—only to return to the property later on in the night after learning that the mansion had been outfitted with several fake hedges, which had been set up without a permit in a bid to block the home from view and control traffic.

These hedges reportedly had to be taken down immediately, just as many of the A-list attendees were leaving the party.

Despite carrying out significant work to his California dwelling, Bezos' primary residence is actually located on the other side of the country—in the tony Florida enclave of Indian Creek Island, where he owns three separate properties.

The first two homes, which sit alongside one another, were picked up by Bezos in 2023 for $68 million and $79 million, respectively.

Multiple reports suggest that the mogul is planning to overhaul the two abodes to create the perfect marital mansion, where he and Sanchez will eventually settle down.

However, while work on that mammoth project gets underway, the billionaire businessman has made other arrangements for himself and his wife—snapping up a third Indian Creek Island abode for the sky-high pice of $87 million in 2024.

The couple are said to be residing in the third home while construction on their megamansion is carried out.

While the home is only temporary, Bezos has spared no expense in ensuring that it is in perfect condition, carrying out a number of upgrades to the Mediterranean-style dwelling.

First, he has transformed the 1.84-acre plot into a veritable oasis with the help of professional arborists who have planted a plethora of exotic trees throughout the front and back yards.

Not only do these trees, which include Japanese yews and Brazilian Beauty Leafs, help to provide a natural barrier between the Bezoses and any prying eyes, they also add a lush feel to the property, creating a tropical paradise on the grounds of the waterfront dwelling.

Several statues have been dotted about the parcel, which has also been outfitted with a private pickleball court, according to planning applications seen by Realtor.com®.

The paved area surrounding the swimming pool has been extended to add an outdoor dining area that sits under a floral canopy, creating a perfect spot for al fresco meals.

A maze of pathways has been paved among the trees at the back of the home, creating what looks like a collection of tiny secret gardens within the grounds of the enormous six-bedroom dwelling.

Meanwhile, the property's garage has been transformed into a private gym—with the original door to the structure removed to make way for new industrial-strength doors that cost upward of $100,000.

Inside the dwelling itself, multiple aesthetic renovations have been carried out, as well as several structural changes to the HVAC system, plumbing, and electrical.

Bezos is also one of several billionaires who own properties in the ultraexclusive Washington enclave of Medina, which is also home to the likes of Bill Gates and former Microsoft executive Charles Simonyi.

Four years after he founded Amazon, Bezos spent $10 million, along with now-ex-wife MacKenzie Scott, buying up two homes that sit on a 5-acre plot in the town of Hunts Point. In 2010, the duo reportedly spent $28 million to extensively renovate the estate, which boasts 310 feet of private shoreline and a private boathouse.

To maximize space (and privacy), Bezos also purchased an adjacent property that same year—a 24,000-square-foot mansion that was reportedly listed for $53 million. It is unclear whether the Amazon CEO paid that hefty sum or managed to snag a discount.

Though he still holds the keys to much of his Seattle property portfolio, Bezos did offload one home in April of this year, selling it off for an astonishing $63 million, according to the Puget Sound Business Journal.

The Amazon founder reportedly added one more property to his cart in 2021. The billionaire and Sanchez picked up a 14-acre estate on the Hawaiian island of Maui. The cost of the off-market transaction was reported to be in the neighborhood of $78 million.

The offering is said to include a 4,500-square-foot main house, a 1,700-square-foot guesthouse, and a 700-square-foot pool. The holding encompasses seven parcels of land and a fish pond with a private, white-sand beach.

The lovebirds also hold the keys to an expansive ranch in West Texas, just north of Van Horn.

Bezos purchased the property in 2004 because it reminded him of his childhood on his grandfather's land in Cotulla, TX.

It is unknown how much he splashed out for the 400,000-acre property.
