Get Ready To Cash In on the Ryder Cup! 5 Potential Rental Gold Mines Near 2029 Tournament Course That You Can Buy Now
With the 2025 Ryder Cup well under way at the Bethpage State Park Black Course in Farmingdale, NY, interest in the iconic tournament has reached fever pitch as the U.S. team goes up against Europe in a bid to reclaim the trophy.
Golfing greats like Bryson DeChambeau, Rory McIIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, J.J. Spaun, and Justin Rose are all taking part in this year's tournament—with the European team going in as the defending champions, having claimed victory over the U.S. in 2023.
The location of the tournament, which takes place only in odd-numbered years, switches between the U.S. and Europe. This year's event is held on the par-71 course on Long Island, about an hour east of Manhattan.
Legions of fans have made their way to Farmingdale to watch the tournament—providing a massive boost to the area's short-term rental market. Farmingdale alone is cashing in on a jaw-dropping 607% jump in short-term rental revenue this week, according to AirDNA, a short-term rental data provider.
While the Ryder Cup will return to Europe in 2027, when it is due to be held at the Golf Course at Adare Manor in Limerick, Ireland, plans are already underway for its next U.S. installment in 2029, when the players will return to the Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, MN, where the American side claimed victory in 2016.
With interest in the golf tournament showing no signs of slowing, Chaska may well experience the same surge in short-term rental bookings that Farmingdale has experienced as a result of the Ryder Cup—providing a potentially lucrative investment opportunity for anyone looking to snap up a property in the area.
As luck would have it, several homes are currently on the market within a few minutes' drive of the Hazeltine course—with prices ranging from less than $500,000 to the much heftier price of $1.45 million.
Whether you are seeking a stately retreat with access to one of the world's finest courses or a newly built abode with ample room for guests, there's plenty of properties to choose from.
