EXCLUSIVE: Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Suffers $3.3 Million Loss on Equestrian Estate in Georgia as Property Finally Sells for $6.1 Million

Action star Dwane "The Rock" Johnson has taken a hefty punch to the gut of his real estate portfolio after suffering a $3.3 million loss on the sale of his sprawling equestrian estate in Georgia.

Johnson, 53, who is currently promoting his new movie "The Smashing Machine," in which he stars alongside Emily Blunt, snapped up the 46-acre property for $9.49 million in October 2019—and less than two years later made his first attempt to sell the estate, listing it for $7.5 million in January 2021.

After 10 months on the market with no concrete offers, the former WWE star withdrew the listing for the sprawling Powder Springs, GA, property, which is known as the "Magnificent Bullard Estate."

The "premier equestrian sanctuary" reappeared on the market in August, when it was listed with the discounted asking price of $6.95 million—with records indicating that it officially sold for $6.1 million on Sept. 19.

Although Johnson purchased the property via an LLC, documents seen by Realtor.com® show that he is listed as the sole owner of the estate.

It is not yet known who has purchased the picturesque property, which features several structures spread across its 46 acres, including a beautiful 15,000-square-foot primary residence as well as a "state-of-the-art 12-stall barn."

Johnson purchased the abode two months after he wed his second wife, Lauren Hashian. It is unclear how regularly he used the property during the six years that he owned it, with his Beverly Hills home currently serving as the actor and wrestler's primary residence.

Still, the Georgia dwelling offered the perfect spot for the actor when he wanted to escape the hustle and bustle of Hollywood—while also providing ample privacy whenever he felt like shying away from the public eye.

Surrounded by lush land, the estate features a private gated entrance, ensuring no unwanted visitors can gain access to the main abode.

For those lucky enough to snag an invite, however, an incredibly impressive array of amenities is on offer, such as the staggering equestrian facilities, which include "six fully fenced manicured pastures," according to the listing, and "a professional-grade riding arena for year-round training."

Anyone not eager to show off their horseback riding prowess can find other entertainment in the "resort-style pool area" and the extraordinary gardens.

The main residence, meanwhile, offers ample areas for entertaining guests, including a library, a wine cellar, a media room, and several other living spaces.

With eight bedrooms on offer, the property boasted more than enough space for Johnson, his wife, and their children.

The primary suite in the home, which was built in 2003, sits on the main level and opens up to a private backyard. The kitchen includes a breakfast bar, island, and stone counters, and it looks out to the family room.

The home is located close to the popular Buckhead neighborhood and about 45 minutes from the Atlanta airport.

"Blending seclusion, luxury, and world-class facilities, the Bullard Estate presents a rare opportunity to own one of the region's most distinguished properties," the listing stated.

Although Johnson has not ever publicly discussed why he chose to purchase the equestrian estate, he has proudly spoken out about his daughter Jasmine's love of horseback riding, revealing on Instagram in 2023 that the youngster was competing in different equestrian events.

The actor—who was born in California—has also shot multiple movie projects in and around Atlanta, including several of the "Fast and Furious" films as well as "Jumanji: The Next Level" and "Jungle Cruise."

As for his primary residence, The Rock purchased a mansion in the exclusive Beverly Hills community of Beverly Park in 2021—paying $27.8 million for the enormous 15,000-square-foot abode.
