Cardi B vs. Nicki Minaj: Inside Feuding Rappers’ Rival Real Estate Portfolios—as They Reignite Furious Spat
Rappers Cardi B and Nicki Minaj have reignited their longstanding feud by engaging in a furious war of words on social media this week.
Cardi, 32, who is currently pregnant with her fourth child—her first baby with NFL star Stefon Diggs—and Minaj, 42, went head-to-head on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Monday night in a series of since-deleted tweets.
The latest scandal unfolded when Minaj shared a post that read "$4.99," which is the promotional price of Cardi's album "Am I the Drama?"
Minaj then continued by branding Cardi "Barney Dangerous," before she went on to share her own version of the lyrics to her rival's song "Magnet," in what appeared to be an attempted "diss."
"Abcdefgeeeeeeee. SUR GER REE TO LOOK LIKE MEEEEEE / tell the rat & tell J ZEEEEEE / Rico Fraud & PERJURY," she wrote, seemingly accusing Cardi of changing her appearance in a bid to mirror Minaj's.
“Abcdefgeeeeeeee / Fallin off the charts wit a big bellyyyy,” she added, referencing Cardi’s pregnancy. “RUNNING TRAINS / Barefoot, still smellyyyyy / Still. You. Could. Not. outsell. meeeeee.”
Minaj then took it a step further by posting an AI-generated image of Cardi as Barney, branding her someone who "raps like" the cartoon and is "still ugleee."

As the feud leveled up, Cardi then responded to say that she was "baking ribs and making blondie brownies" when Minaj began "bothering me on a damn Monday."
Cardi then hit back at Minaj, and even threw shots at the latter's incarcerated brother, Jelani Maraj, who was put behind bars in 2017 following a child rape conviction.
The 32-year-old then insisted that there can be no comparison between herself and Minaj—because she got her start in the industry much later.
The songwriter added, “You been in the game like 16 years. You need to compare yourself to YOUR peers that started around YOUR time. Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Drake.
“Those are the numbers you need to be competing wit and you can’t cuz you doing lower than all of them. I was in high school when you came out wtf is you comparing yourself to me for???”
Cardi then acknowledged the comments about her pregnancy, noting, "Like you wasn’t going to different fertility doctors cuz you couldn’t reproduce from all them percs scrambling your eggs. NOT ALLEGEDLY. Lord protect my babies."
She concluded: "Nothing is more annoying than a bored b---h. ... You must have missed me, huh crazy?? Now kiss my feet.”
It marks the latest in a long line of spats between the two women, who are widely considered to be among the most successful female rappers of the modern day.
That success has helped both women to achieve extraordinary levels of fame and wealth, with Minaj amassing an estimated net worth of $150 million, while Cardi confirmed reports in April that her fortune had reached more than $101 million.
While they may not have much in common, the two women do have one very clear shared interest outside of music: investing in real estate.
Throughout their careers, they have both amassed impressive collections of homes, with Cardi even receiving one of her mansions as a gift from an ex.
Inside Cardi B's $11.65 million real estate collection

The A-lister holds the keys to a property in New Jersey, which was a long-term dream for her and her ex, Offset, and a 22,000-square-foot property in Atlanta, which her former partner gifted to her in 2022.
In 2021, Cardi told fans she had moved into her dream home in New York City. However, it later turned out that the property was in Tenafly, NJ.
The home is located in the suburbs of Jersey, which is about 45 minutes from Midtown Manhattan, and 25 minutes from her hometown of Washington Heights.
Cardi snapped up the home in September 2021 for $5.85 million and later spent $1 million on renovations.
The main property has nine bedrooms and nine bathrooms. It spans 13,000 square feet and sits on 2 acres of land.
The mansion boasts 10-foot-high ceilings, a home theater, a wine cellar, a gym, a powder room, and a wet bar.
There's also an elevator, a chef's kitchen, a large dining room, a great room, a library, and an office with six fireplaces. The primary bedroom features dual bathrooms and walk-in closets.
The property also features a saltwater pool, a tennis court, a cabana with an outdoor kitchen, and a guesthouse.

Cardi's Atlanta abode was built in 2006, spans 22,000 square feet, and sits on 5.84 wooded acres.
The $5.8 million mansion has five bedrooms and at least seven baths.
The family room opens up to a terrace with an outdoor kitchen and fireplace.
There will be no shortage of places where the couple can prepare snacks. There's also a kitchenette and bar in the sprawling main-floor game room, which Offset has claimed as his man cave.
The primary suite is also spectacularly spacious, with its fireplace-filled sitting room, his-and-her two-story closets, and a spa bath.
Finally, Cardi once held the keys to a Beverly Hills mansion, which she shared with Offset.
However, the property, which they leased, was sold in 2023 following a lawsuit for alleged damages.
The home came complete with five bedrooms and six bathrooms.
Inside Nicki Minaj's $19.5 million property portfolio

Unlike Cardi, the 42-year-old currently holds the keys to only one residence. However, she previously held multiple keys.
Minaj's primary residence is a $19.5 million modern farmhouse in Hidden Hills, CA, which she snapped up in 2022.
The expansive dwelling comes with eight bedrooms, several bathrooms, a resort-style pool, a cabana, a terrace with sweeping views of the hills, and a separate guesthouse.
The home spans 12,000 square feet and sits in a wealthy neighborhood, where several stars reside.
Minaj previously rented a $28,000 monthly dwelling in Calabasas in 2020. She also previously rented a pad in Beverly Hills for $35,000 a month.
Minaj also once owned a $10 million, 7,000-square-foot abode with six bedrooms. It was her main residence before she picked up her Hidden Hills dwelling.
